March Boat Jumble

Work Party 18th March, 10.30 am to 3.00 pm

We have a new pre-season event joining the regular monthly work party in March. Our Treasurer Anna Doeser is organising a Boat Jumble, details below.

Did you treat yourself to some new kit over Christmas? Did you have an early spring clean and discover five pairs of gloves you no longer use? The Boat Jumble is an opportunity for you to find a new home for your old kit. Sell your items or donate to the club and allow us to re-home it and raise funds for the club.

All types of items accepted: sailing and water sport clothing and accessories, canoes, SUPs, spare parts, etc.

If you are looking for an early buyer then register your items before the day , send photos, descriptions and asking prices to treasurer@venachar.org.uk. If you don't want to bring bulky items on the day provide some good photos and a description and arrange a later handover date with your buyer. Cash, Card and IOUs for members will be accepted on the day for any payments to the club. Use the club Wi-Fi and carry out bank or PayPal transfers on the day of the jumble.

There will be more information on the arrangements nearer the time and it is likely information on the items available will be posted in our forums and on our Facebook group.

If anyone has carboot/swishing experience and would like to help Anna with the organisation please get in touch with her.

Please note that if you have previously left anything in the main Clubroom to be sold or donated these items have been collected and passed to Anna for sorting ahead of the Boat Jumble. There are also some lost property items which have been swept up as well. Therefore if you have recently left something at the Club please get in touch with Anna to see if it is amongst those items.
